The Hive House is a natural light studio on the third floor of the Isaac Staple Sawmill in Stillwater, Minnesota. We have a large east facing main space and 4 north facing individually decorated rooms. Two of the four rooms are included in your hourly rental, and 2 of the rooms act as our luxery boudoir suite. Photos may not always be current as we (and you!) change it up to keep things fresh and inspire new creativity. The space is rentable in 1hr blocks for both photography and small events (30 people or less)

Studio Pricing
Rentals are hourly investments and the price per hour varies on weekday or weekend bookings. Click the Book Now button on the top of the website to get the current pricing details!
Reschedule POLICY
If you can no longer use your booked slot, you are welcome to transfer your booking to an available slot within 3 months for $40 if you reach out at least 1 week before your booked appointment. We do not offer refunds on cancellations and we can’t promise that a new slot will be available for reschedules.
Your hourly rental
You can enter our space as soon as your rental time starts. We advise you knock first to give warning to anyone that may be in the space before you. There’s no buffer between appointments. Please add the necessary time for clean up or teardown into your rental time. You are responsible to clean up after yourself and your clients. We ask that you leave the space in the same or better condition that you found it. We do our best to ensure each renter gets the best version of the studio as possible. If something gets broken or is broken when you arrive, please snap a picture and text our Hive Manager: Danie Powell 763-229-0023.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Renting The Hive House Studio includes the natural light area of our main space, the bedroom, and moody tub room. The Luxery Boudoir Suite is not included in your rental unless you’ve added it on at the time of booking. Renting The Hive House Studio gives you access to all current decorations. Note that furniture and decorations switch out on occasion.
Luxery Boudoir suite
The Boudoir Suite is available as an add-on with any rental and includes our client closet! Robes, bodysuits, tops, bottoms, and more! Sizes XS to 4X. Ring light included in rental and tons of small hospitality items for you and your clients. Used items must be put into the laundry basket and all bottoms must be worn with a panty liner (provided). The suite and closet is an additional fee of $25/hr on top of your rental price.
Cleaning policy
We expect all of our renters to respect the space and keep it as clean as they’d want it to be when arriving for their own rental. There are brooms, dust pans, and cleaning supplies located in the cube shelf at the back of the studio. Just like in your own home, please do not force trash into the garbage bin if it is full. All waste created while you are at the studio is your responsibility. If the garbage is full, please consider bringing the full bag down to the dumpster at the back of the building. If you have rented the Bridal Suite, you are expected to clean the surfaces after you’ve used them and put all used lingerie into the laundry bin by the changing room. We have cleaners that visit weekly to make sure that the space is maintained, but if you see that the space needs help, shoot us a text or help out the next renter by tidying up a bit for them.
